January 8th is the opening for the first showing of work from my newest series, In a New Light.

This week is the final week of shooting for my new fine art series, In a New Light. I have been shooting it for about two months, the official show of the series is January at a gallery in New Jersey. Above are some samples of work done during this time, some might be in the series, some not, but all are from the shoots for the series. The series originally was a homage to Francis Bacon and his study of portraits. Through the process of working on the series though it took a life of its own and became its own world and statement. None of the images are retouched or computer manipulated, they are the exact images taken.

New Product Work

I have been working with this artist/art teacher in New Jersey lately. I am doing portraits and such of her at work, I am trying this experimental technique that if works properly will be amazing so will keep all posted on that. But along with that I have been taking basic product shots of her students work for her and of these little sculptures she has started making. I figured I would show some of the sculpture images on here, been having fun with them making them dramatic.

Cavalier Rose

I already put up I think an image or two from this shoot, but I wanted to put up more. I recently did a shoot with the upcoming Williamsburg band, Cavalier Rose. We did the shoot with my new style I have started for my recent fine art series. The stuff came out really cool and has been shown a bit already. I think it's my new favorite thing for music promotional work.

Nature

So I was really bored a few weeks ago, hadn't been out of the house in forever. I decided I needed to get back to my roots (pun intended) and shoot what I had started shooting when learning photography...nature. I went for a walk in Jersey on the canals in Princeton. Today I did a short little walk like that again. Figured why not post some stuff from that. In other words still not sure what to do today.
